I’ve been a gun owner ever since I turned 21 but I wouldn’t consider myself a “gun nut” or anything like that. I have a firearm, I know how to use it and so does my family. I pray that I never EVER have to use it to defend myself or my family but if the time comes I am glad I live in a state where I can legally carry my pistol and have the option to use it in self defense.

With that being said I only go to the range and shoot only a few times a year whenever time permits. I don’t belong to a gun club, I don’t do anything else with my gun except carry it where I am legally able to. So when I got the assignment to photograph shooting sports I was excited to see what else is out there.

I had the opportunity to shoot some cool guns including a rifle that was over 100 years old!
